When you can't find Rx coupons, eBay is an option

Lately, I haven't seen many Rx coupons in the Columbus area. They're mostly just appearing in these places:

* Certain Giant Eagle locations or Kroger locations where they've remodeled and are trying to bring in more customers. That usually just lasts a few weeks. Even if you don't live near the new store, you might live close enough to get a sales flyer in the mail that promotes the new store -- especially if that new location became expanded into a "Market District" or "Marketplace."

* Meijer. They mostly print out as custom coupons at checkout. (But I hate shopping there ... almost as much as I dislike WalMart -- very few deals are worth waiting 10 minutes at the checkout).

* Kmart. Not one near me. Not a fan anyhow.

However, you can get some of these coupons and take them to a pharmacy that says they accept competitor coupons. Make sure that you're not buying a coupon of a Kmart if it's too far away to be considered by your local grocery pharmacy or CVS to be a "competitor."

You don't have to hunt these coupons down by going to a Meijer or Kmart. Thank goodness. ;-)

You can get them conveniently by searching on eBay. Usually they are over-priced but sometimes you can get a deal. An example:

Transfer prescription to Kroger to get $1 off per gallon (no coupon needed; exp. April 18, 2015)

At Kroger pharmacies in Ohio (or at least in the Columbus and Cincinnati metro areas), you can save at the pump by transferring a prescription from a competitor. No Rx coupon is necessary. Just mention you saw an ad for $1 per gallon in fuel savings for transferring a prescription.

The ad was recently on the front page of some newspapers -- The Cincinnati Enquirer and The Kentucky Enquirer. And the Rx transfer incentive was also featured on a postcard mailed out to some areas of Columbus, Ohio. On that one, it show an expiration of April 18, 2015. It says in fine print it's accepted at locations "throughout central Ohio."

Mention this at Giant Eagle pharmacy and they will likely match the offer. Also Giant Eagle will likely not restrict you to ONE per day (... or worse ... as Kroger usually does). However, the wording on the front page of the Enquirer says the 1,000 points are earned for "each prescription transferred..." Before you transfer more than one to them, ask if there's a limit -- per day, per week, per offer, per lifetime.

Coupon: $25 gift card @ Giant Eagle for Rx transfer; expires April 4,2015

Sales flyers arrive in the Powell, Ohio, location of Giant Eagle on Thursday (March 5, 2015) with an Rx coupon on the front that offers a $25 gift card. All you have to do is transfer a prescription from one of their competitors and present the coupon. They even reward you for those that are generics they sell for just $4. That seems too good to be true. :)

And they don't limit how many prescriptions you transfer to them and use a coupon on ... or how many you pick up in one day/transaction with coupons. As I mention at www.Rx4Less.net, they are without a doubt the BEST PLACE in Columbus, Ohio, to deal with on Rx coupons -- theirs and competitors. They're great about matching any offer by Kroger, Meijer, CVS, Target, etc.

Plus, their pharmacists and staff are much more friendly.

This coupon expires April 4, 2015.

Need to transfer back to Kroger or somewhere this month?

Kroger claims they will accept competitor coupons. You could take one of these there to see if the sign above the pharmacist is true. But they will likely limit you to ONE per day and other limitations/hurdles Giant Eagle will not put you through.

Transfer Rx to Kroger: Save $1 per gallon (up to $35 value)

Kroger's coupon-less Rx transfer incentive has shown up in Columbus, Ohio, again. This time it expires March 21, 2015.

Remember: Most locations will limit you to ONE per day. Ask your pharmacist for a copy of their prescription coupon policy (especially in regard to their claim of "We Gladly Accept Competitors Coupons"). It's a page long and subject to additional limitations and restrictions and whatever the pharmacist makes up on her/his own.

Refer to the mailing they sent out by postcard as shown below that had coupons attached.

Giant Eagle will likely match/beat this offer if you bring it up ... and allow you to use it for multiple Rx transfers (even their $4 generics) picked up at once. And the FuelPerks don't max out at $1 per gallon. You can get free fill-up @ Giant Eagle. Also the FuelPerks don't expire the next month like Kroger. You get until the end of the month TWO MONTHS AFTER the month in which you earn them.  So, FuelPerks earned today (March 3) would be good until the end of May. And, of course, your co-pays and other purchases count toward more FuelPerks at rate of 20 cents per $50 spent.

&25 gift card for every Rx you transfer to Giant Eagle pharmacy with coupon (expires 2/29/2015)

Sales flyers that will arrive in the Powell location of Giant Eagle on Thursday (Jan. 29, 2015) will have on the front page something new -- an Rx coupon for a $25 gift card. They had been offering $1 in FuelPerks on their Rx coupons.

They don't impose a limit on daily purchases with Rx coupons so if you transfer 4 prescriptions and take them 4 of these coupons, you'll have $100 to spend on free groceries and other items with the gift cards.

It shows an expiration date of "2/29/2015" but perhaps they meant 2/29 or 3/1. On my 2915 calendar, there is no Leap Day. ;-)

Most CVS and Kroger locations in Columbus area will match this offer you take these coupons to them.  But Kroger has limits -- one per day and some "lifetime limit." CVS will sometimes give you grief despite saying they accept competitor coupons. See Rx4Less.net for details.

These should be in the store (at least the Powell location) through Wednesday, Feb. 4.

FREE FILL UP of gas with 2 Rx transfers to Giant Eagle with 2 of these prescription coupons

Sales flyers that will appear Thursday (Jan. 22., 2015) in the Powell location of Giant Eagle (and perhaps others nearby) has an Rx coupon on the front that is worth up to $30 in fuel savings.

There's no daily limit. You can transfer 4 prescriptions with 4 of these coupons and get TWO free fill-ups. And just two right now should cover one fill-up.

Your co-pays and grocery and gift card purchases earn FuelPerks too -- 20 cents per $50 spent.

Best of all your FuelPerks don't expire until two months later (plus what's left of the current month). And there's no "Up to $1 off" per gallon limit as Kroger imposes. If you have enough FuelPerks to cover the cost per gallon, your fill-up is FREE. Plus you can get up tat 30 gallons. If it doesn't fit in your gas tank, you can put the rest in gas cans. They're cool with that. Just be careful.

These sales flyers should be in stores until next Wednesday.

Kroger extends coupon-less $1 off gas deal for Rx transfer

In Kroger sales flyers this week, they included mention of the $1 off the price of gas for transferring a prescription from a competitor. Not sure how much longer they'll honor this promotion as there's no expiration date listed. At the end of the long and very small fine print, it just says "Limited time only."

Keep in mind that $1 off gas is the maximum savings at Kroger usually (and 35 gallons is the limit when you redeem the discount). Details below:

This is unlike Giant Eagle where your FuelPerks have no "Max out" and you can get a free fill up (and more -- up to 30 gallons total per redemption; what doesn't fit in your tank, you can put I nto gas cans ... if your car's tank is as small as mine). ;-) They're cool with that. Even the BMW SUVs up in Powell aren't too proud to fill 3 or 4 gas cans while getting free gas.

You can take the ad for this offer to a Giant Eagle pharmacy and have them match it. They make let you use more than one per day as well (the Kroger limit -- for their own Rx coupons and those of competitors).

These sales flyers should be in Kroger locations (at least many in northwest Columbus area) through Tuesday (Jan. 27, 2015).

As it says, "See Pharmacy for details." It's probably best to ask before transferring one whether the promotion has expired and what limits there are -- one per day ... one per month ... have you hit your lifetime Rx coupon limit Keoger imposes on some people?

Free fill-up with two Rx transfers to Giant Eagle (to 2/4/2015)

Rx coupons that have appeared on front of the Giant Eagle sales flyer at the Powell location (as part of their Grand Re-Opening) can save you $1 per gallon for EACH prescription you transfer. Just make sure you have multiple coupons to cover each.

Coupons are in this week's sales flyer in stores through tomorrow -- Wednesday, January 14. But the new one that comes out Thursday (and was in my mailbox today) no longer features it. So hurry!

These may be in more locations but your best bet is the one at corner of Sawmill Parkway and Powell Road.

Kroger coupon-less $1 off each gallon of gas for Rx transfer

The latest ad I've seen for this extends the earlier-mentioned offer to Jan. 24, 2015.

Coupon-less Rx savings @ Kroger (that Giant Eagle may match)

Kroger in central Ohio is offering $1 off the price of gas (per gallon; up to 30 gallons) for transferring a prescription from a competitor.

This is mentioned on a postcard with coupons mailed out to customers. The Rx offer requires no coupon. Just mention it at the pharmacy. They do limit you to one per day and may impose other limits beyond those listed in fine print.

Offer goes at least through Jan. 10, 2015.  It's been listed on similar mailings at least monthly for several months now.

Ask your Giant Eagle Pharmacy if they will match this coupon-less offer of Kroger. Some will.

and they won't limit you to one Rx coupon redemption per day -- or a limit of $1 off cost per gallon of gas (FuelPerks now easily/quickly add up to. FREE fill up ... co-pays and groceries and all other purchases including gift cards earn 20 cents off per $50 spent).

*** UPDATE [Dec. 28] ***

Mention of this offer was also printed in the Kroger sales flyer distributed in "The Bag" hung on mailboxes or tossed on driveways/porches on Sunday (Dec. 28). These may be easier to find if you want to take it to a competitor that accepts competitor coupons (like Giant Eagle or CVS do).

Make sure you read all the fine print in third photo. Kroger seems to be trying to set a new record on how many exclusions they add to their offers. Controlled substances are now banned from the offer. Ask the pharmacist for the full one-page policy they developed after the Better Business Bureau investigated their deceptive advertising on their "Gladly Accept Competitor Coupons" policy/claim.

Thankful for FREE gas from Giant Eagle (Rx coupons good until Thanksgiving)

The Rx coupons that continue to appear in many sales flyers at Giant Eagle stores in the Columbus/Hilliard/Grandview areas (Ohio) are now good through Thanksgiving.

Although the coupons sometimes don't appear in store closest to me (Powell), they show up in my mailbox (Worthington/Dublin area) ... and are probably definitely at/near newest stores in Grandview and Hilliard.

Works usual way: For each prescription you transfer from a competitor (as long as it was filled there at least once), and as long as you have a coupon for each, and you're paying ca$h or using "regular" insurance not government-sponsored/subsidized (Medicare, Medicaid, or Healthcare Exchange marketplace -- Healthcare.gov/ACA), you get:

$1 in discount off gas (per gallon) up to 30 gallons

These FuelPerks can add up to full price of gas so you get FREE FILL UP!  Mille Kroger where you max out at $1 per gallon savings (occasionally having 2x special).

Also, these savings add up and don't expire until 60'dqys after end of the current month.  That too is much better than Kroger.

This arrived in mailboxes in my area today (Oct. 15) and last week -- both with Nov. 26, 2014 expiration (Thanksgiving Eve).

These will be in some stores (probably all Market District locations ... and other newly-opened stores such as Hilliard) through next W dens day.

Giant Eagle: Up to $30 in FREE gas for EACH Rx transfer to 9/30/2014

Giant Eagle has brought back their Rx coupon in the sales flyers that arrived in Columbus, Ohio, area stores on Thursday (Aug. 7,2014).

"Earn up to $30 in FREE FUEL on a transferred prescription," it says. Doesn't expire until September 30, 2014.

Remember:

* No limit on how many prescriptions you can transfer from competitors and use a separate coupon on. No one-a-day limit any more. They even let you use these on generics they sell at $4. The FREE. Meds are excluded, of course, as are Medicare, Medicaid, and HealthCare.gov insurance plans.

If you don't have a coupon, ask them to match the no-coupon-required $1 off gas deal Kroger a pharmacy is offering through 8/23/2014.

Other ways to save @ Giant Eagle featured below (including FREE blod pressure medicine such as Lisinopril and Lisinopril HCTZ):

Kroger: $1 off per gallon of gas for prescription transfer

No coupon needed.

Kroger in Columbus,,Ohio, is promoting via postcard mailer this week that they are again offering a $1 discount per gallon of gas for a prescription transfer. 

Expires Aug. 23, 20014. Bunch of fine print so small I can't read it with just glasses. Larger fine print says: "Restrictions may apply. See Pharmacy for details."  That may mean limit one per transaction, day, week, month, year, customer (with lifetime limit reached at some point).

You can also bring a coupon from the Giant Eagle sales flyer for $1 off gas as Kroger still claims, "We Accept Competitor Coupons." (they did remove the word "Gladly" from that claim. ;-)

Fine print (zoomed larger on iPad) mentions "Offer cannot be used with other pharmacy discount programs." This likely means generics offered at $4 for 30 days and $10 for 90 days (even without insurance) are NOT eligible to use this $1 off gas. Giant Eagle does NOT exclude their $4 or $10 drugs from receiving $1 discount on transferred prescriptions.

Also, remember that Giant a eagle lets you add up FuelPerks to a FREE fill-up ... not just a max of $1 off as Kroger does most of the year (or $2 when they occasionally let you get up to 2x that limit).

Giant Eagle: $120 in free gas for 4 transfers

Giant Eagle has coupons all over Columbus, Ohio, this week.

In The Columbus Dispatch on Sunday (3/9/2014) there was a slick (with manufacturer coupons) that had four coupons -- each worth up to $30 in free/discounted gas at GetGo for most prescriptions transferred to Giant Eagle.

The sales flyer this week in stores until Wednesday (3/19/2014) also has a coupon for the same offer. 

One expires 4/9 (the sales flyer) and the other on 4/20.

Kroger may honor these ... point to the sign there that says, "We Accept Competitor Coupons." Used to have the word "Gladly" ;-) ... and there are arbitrary lifetime limits that apply there.

Giant Eagle: Up to $120 in free gas for Rx transfers

Giant Eagle brought back their 4 coupons at a time special to point out you can earn a free fill up for 4 prescription transfers (up to $120 value; based on 30 gallons at $4 off/gallon; they're OK with you putting into gas cans what doesn't fit in your talk).

The ones in sales flyers in Columbus, Ohio, through Wednesday (Feb. 5) expire March 12, 2014.

No problem using 4 or more (with 4 or more prescriptions) at a time ... unlike at Kroger.

Kroger in Columbus is offering $1 off gas if you transfer a prescription to them.

This was mentioned in ad on from page of The Columbus Dispatch several times recently and in their sales flyer.

Keep in mind they usually only allow you to redeem one offer at pharmacy per day.

Also, unlike Giant Eagle, gas discounts max out @ $1 off per gallon no matter how many groceries & prescriptions you buy.

Giant Eagle lets you have an unlimited amount of FuelPerks -- allowing you to get a free fill up

Also your discount lasts twice as long -- lasting 60 days from end of month vs. just 30 (at Kroger).

Giant Eagle accepts the Kroger offers (bring in the Kroger ad from paper or sales flyer).  They also have had their own coupons (2 or 4 at a time usually) in their dales flyer lately.  They're glad to let you redeem 4 (or more) with 4 (or more) prescription transfers from competitors.

Giant Eagle helps you start 2014 the right way -- with $30 in free gas for each prescription you transfer.

This week's sales flyer (that arrived in stores today, Jan. 2, in the Columbus, OH, area) has not one but FOUR coupons worth $1 in FuelPerks for each prescription you transfer to Giant Eagle pharmacy.  They don't expire until 2/14/2014 (Valentine's Day).

This coupon is good through Jan. 15 of the New Year!

Save up to $30 on gas for each coupon and Rx transfer you bring to Giant Eagle.  The $1 in FuelPerks plus 20¢ per $50 in co-pays/groceries/gift-xard purchases adds up quickly to a free fill-up (unlike Kroger where you max out at $1 gas discount).  Also, you get 60 days after the end of the month in which you earn them to use your FuelPerks!

This coupon appears to be in all sale flyers now in stores in Columbus, Ohio, area -- today through Christmas.

As Giant Eagle premiered last week (for the first time in years locally), this week's sales flyer contains another awesome Rx coupon.

Not only can you get $1 in extra FurlPerks for prescriptions you transfer in but also for NEW prescriptions (even if you've filled them there before).  You also get 20¢ in FuelPerks for each $50 you spend on co-pays or over-the-counter drugs or any other groceries ... and most gift cards purchases.

So if you bring in 2 new prescriptions plus 1 transfered prescription and spend $100 (copays, groceries, etc.), you've already earned $3.40 in discounts on gas at GetGo -- enough for a FREE fill up! And they're cool with you bringing gas cans to take whatever doesn't fit in your tank of the 30 gallon limit.

Expires 11/13/2013.

It's in stores today through Wednesday, Oct. 23.  May only be in some stores  ... or one ...  in Columbus, Ohio, area.  I'm in Worthington/Dublin area of northwest Columbus and it came to me in the mail.  May just be going to stores/zip codes close to new Market District in Dublin. Coupon is on back of wraparound customized with Dublin pitch on cover.  So these nay be hard to find elsewhere.  If you go to Dublin store, the flyers are in a barrel in between the first and second set of doors.  Easy in and out.  Stop at new GetGo on corner out front  to try their awesome on-demand subs! They beat Subway and many delis.

Doesn't say on coupon anything about it only being valid at certain locations. That'd probably annoy current customers shopping elsewhere nearby like Powell and Upper Arlington locations.

Best Rx coupon gets even better!

Not only can you save $30 on gas with each TRANSFERRED prescription but also with each NEW one with the coupon that's in this week's sales flyer at Giant Eagle in Columbus, Ohio.
